Forest Kitchen & Mudroom (Floor Plan Design)

The clients weren’t sure if they wanted to proceed with a renovation or an expansion on their current home. Before investing in architectural plans they wanted to see what was possible.

We were aiming to fix the poor traffic flow, the lack of mudroom, and the poorly laid out and closed off kitchen.

To fix this we opened doorways between the sunroom, living room, and back hallway to create circulation through the whole floor. Dividing the sunroom allowed for a mudroom and a playroom. We claimed the hall closet and relocated the deck door, which made room for a kitchen island, a wide opening to the dining room, and a proper cooking work triangle.
