Carteret Kitchen (Floor Plan Edit)

The client came to me with the contractor’s kitchen design right before construction.

We were aiming to move refrigerator away from the open basement staircase, solve for the foot traffic bottleneck by the kitchen doorway, and make a better cooking prep space.

To achieve this we shifted the peninsula up, which opened the circulation, moved traffic away from the staircase, and created an efficient U-shaped kitchen layout.
